Oprah visits new homes

Oprah Winfrey is in Houston today [2/17/06], checking in on 50 families displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Houston Habitat for Humanity and Oprah's Angel Network are building each family a new home, with interiors by Nate Berkus, a design expert on Oprah's show who's also on the cover of this month's Oprah's O At Home magazine. The families agreed to work alongside Habitat volunteers for 300 hours. It will be featured on her show at 4 p.m. Wednesday on Channel 11.
