Minority Leader Reid’s dilemma: A racist amendment from a non-racist ‘buddy’

As I understand what can loosely be called Senator Reid’s ‘train of thought’: A amendment to the immigration bill now before the Senate that designates English as the national language of the United States is so disparaging of people whose first language is not English, particularly those who speak Spanish, that it is, in fact, racist. However, the United States Senator (James Inhofe, R-OK) who introduced the amendment is not a racist because Reid has “affection for my friend from Oklahoma.” (Hat tip: has the video)

I’m not a psychiatrist, but after watching the video it is my personal opinion that Reid’s BDD (blithering dimwitted demagoguery syndrome) has finally gotten the best of him.
